Rajeev Bagga, a deaf badminston player, during the 1980’s
and 1990’s, was born in India and won state championships
and competed in several international tournaments. He has
always complained that India discriminated against him,
not allowing to take part in Olympics tryouts
because of his deafness. Fed up after years of battling
the Indian athletic authorities, he emigrated to Great
Britain and continued to play badminton – at masters
age levels.
