Which is better – captioned glasses or captioning
devices while watching movies at a movie house?

Of course open captioning is best, but 99 percent
of movie houses won’t offer it during regularly
scheduled movie showings – may offer it during
once a week movie showing only at one screen,
not at all of their screens.

That leaves us with captioned glasses or
captioning devices.

Captioned glasses seem to be better than
captioning devices – but both will miss
some captions during a movie showing!

What is best? For many deaf people, stay home
and watch open caption movies on their
laptops. But for first run movies, one may
have to wait months before these become
available for home viewing!
