deaf-man-on-investments-trading-floor

People who invest their money know what Chicago
Mercantile Exchange is all about. For years,
traders have shouted their buy and sell orders,
often using their own sign language. Not
any more – computers won. Anyway has there
been a deaf person that worked on the floor
at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, dealing
with these buy and sell orders? Yes and
no. A young deaf man, years ago, worked
on the floor – but he did not deal with
these trades. He was a chartist, keeping
track of these trades with a clipboard!
He only lasted few years because the pressure
was too much for him.
