deaf-marathon-runner-in-olympics

In the 1948 Olympics, there was a deaf runner in
the marathon. It was China’s Lau Wen-Ngau.

He ran 20 miles before dropping out of the race
because of blisters.

It is not known what has become of his long distance
running career. China went Communist in 1949
and press censorship was pretty much bad in these
days.
