Did you know that deaf Jeff Float, after winning the gold
medal in the swimming 4×200-meter freestyle relay
at the 1984 Olympics, flashed the I-L-Y sign in front
of TV cameras. Nearly 30 years later he is still involved
in swimming – swimming director at the Gold River Racquet
Club in Gold River, California. He also coaches the
Gold River Stingrays, a traveling swimming team that
competes at various meets. Additionally he is a private
swimming coach for hearing swimmers that want to excel
at higher levels of competition.
