A deaf person paid his credit card bill. The credit card company said they never got payment – and charged deaf person late payment fees for three months. When the deaf person showed the credit card company the proof of payment, they wanted to discuss this matter on phone. The deaf person told them he wanted to discuss this by mail instead of relay service. This went on for 3 months until the credit card company gave up and gave the deaf person refund on these late payment fees. The deaf person did not want to risk the phone hang ups on relay calls, thinking it was a scam!
