Did you know that –

Charles A Thomas, Danville, KY, served as the Acting
Superintendent of Kentucky Public Printing, May to
September 1949. He was offered a permanent appointment
but declined since he wanted to return to his teaching
job as printing instructor at Kentucky School for
the Deaf. He was a master printer, capable of mastering
anything in the printing field – linotype, make up,
cold type, fixing up printing machinery, etc. He was
deaf.
