Dummy Taylor was a great pitcher with the old baseball
New York Giants team. While his statistics do not equal
these great hall of fame pitchers, he pretty much stood up
with them during his prime. He won 20 games one season,
compiling a 21-15 reoord in the 1904 baseball season.
Every major league pitcher dreams of a 20-win season,
and it was Taylor’s biggest accomplishment. His career
faded because of something like a tired arm, but he
continued pitching in the minors for a number of years
before hanging up for good.
