first-deaf-pro-basketball-player-in-national-deaf-tournament

The national deaf basketball tournament, over the years,
has had several deaf players that played professionally.

Roger Dempewolf, who played for the strong Des Moines (Iowa)
teams in the early fifties, played professionally for the
barnstorming House of David basketball team. This team
toured USA, playing against local teams, and everyone
on the team had to grow beards!
