A deaf hurdler was in Olympics and was world-class level


Vyacheslav Skomorokhov was a Russian world-class hurdler that
competed in 1968 Olympics, finishing fifth in 400 hurdles
with a 49.1 clocking. He also competed in many hearing
international track meets.


After retiring in the 1970’s he reportedly was shot
to death in circumstances that have been murky.
