sportswriters’ nightmare – these Tuttles

In the 1949 Gallaudet football season, the team
had two quarterbacks, both named Marvin Tuttle.

Marvin W. (from Iowa) had a strong arm, capable
of airing it out on these hail Mary passes.

Marvin O. (from North Carolina) was a better
field general and was the team’s #1 quarterback.

On third-and-long downs, Martin W. was used to
throw these long passes. Otherwise Marvin O.
played most of these offensive series.

These sportswriters hadd to look at program book
to make sure which Tuttle was a Tuttle!
