— dumbest question asked of a deaf woman

From a posting on the internet, a deaf woman
said she was asked by a hearing person:

How do deaf women have babies?

— twisted economics

An African economist said that nations with
low national income have the highest
number of deaf children. Not sure why he
said that – rich families can have deaf
children as well as low income families!

— half silent, half talkie movie with captions

Shown on TV recently was “Weary River” produced
in 1929. At that time silent films were going out
and talkie films were coming in. To bridge both
generations, this film was half-silent and half-talkie.
Shown on TV was this modified film with captions
thrown in with these silents captions! In other
words, for each scene, one can see captions and
then see the silents captions. Rather unusual.
