Super fan of a deaf football & basketball teams

Albert H. Walker was the #1 fan of the
Florida School for the Deaf and Blind
football and basketball teams. He traveled
with the team to all of its games serving
as scorekeeper, timekeeper, interpreter,
and as the driver of the team bus.

His wife also coached the school girls’
basketball team.

Why is this so amazing? Albert H. Walker
served as the school president (superintendent)
between 1906 and 1927!

Apparently he had time to mix deaf sports
with the management of the school.
