Ida Dotson is the only known deaf woman basketball
player from a deaf school that have played
NCAA-I basketball. She played two seasons with
Marshall University in the early 2000’s after
playing junior college ball for two seasons.

She played a season, as a freshman, at Arizona
School for the Deaf, before transferring to
a hearing school for her remaining three seasons
of high school play.
