The state of Utah seeks an innovative leader with vision, values, and
determination to acceomplish significant educational improvement at the
Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (USDB). The position involves
exciting opportunities that impact on the public education of deaf, blind
and deaf-blind students in the state of Utah through the implementation of
quality instruction, standards-based curriculum, and knowledge of state
and federal education budgets and programs. The superintendent endorses
and promotes .Promises to Keep,. the vision and mission of Utah public
Candidates must have demonstrated success in education, business, and/or
progessional settings. Candidates must have an advanced degree.
Candidates must also have an understanding of special education and the
unique characteristics of students with disabilities served by USDB.
Salary is negotiable and competitive and includes a comprehensive benefits
