Wilson Grabill, who passed away in 1983, was a prominent
statistican with the Census Bureau, specializing in fertility
population studies. After graduating from Gallaudet in 1934,
he joined the Civil Service and rose through the ranks,
becoming the bureau chief of the Family and Fertility
Statistics Branch, Population Division. His formulas
and calculations were used in these 10-year Census
studies.
