This is the 1916 St Joseph’s School for the Deaf (Bronx, NY) football team. The high school department closed up in 1950, but the K-8 school remains. The school did not play against deaf schools until the 1940’s decade. The school’s greatest season was in 1947 when the team posted a 6-2-1 record. The past editions of the Silent Worker scarcely mentioned the school football tales.
