HIGHWAY AMBER ALERT DISPLAY SIGNS DIFFICULT FOR DEAF
Sometimes we drive on highways and see the “Amber
Alert emergency alert” display signs. They are
asking drivers to call an emergency number if
they know the driver trying to get away.
A hearing driver, seeing the emergency sign,
can use his cell phone, while driving and inform
the police.
The deaf person has to pull over and stop
on the shoulder because driving and texting is
very dangerous!

AUTOMATIC EMPLOYER EXCUSE
A deaf person was job-seeking. He could
not find a job.
During one interview, the employer says
all employees must be able to communicate
with customers, and that a deaf person cannot
communicate.
The deaf person said he could write his
responses on paper or through relay service.
The employer’s automatic excuse:

Sorry, I cannot hire you.

It happened in Great Britain, where there
is no ADA. If the employer said the same
thing in USA, he will be sued.

HEARING AID PROBLEMS
Many hard of hearing people have problems
with their hearing aids because of computers
inside it.
Old fashioned hearing aids were simple
to use.
New hearing aids are different; many people
struggle to set up the computer right way
with these hearing aids!
