A hungry deaf customer used the internet relay to order
a sub from a fast food outlet in Lawrence, Kansas. Instead
of taking the order, she was hung up six times. Angry,
she went to the restaurant to confront the supervisor, who
then yelled at her, telling her he refuses to accept relay
calls from the deaf. She has then filed legal action. Upon
hearing about it, the franchise owners fired the supervisor.
The lawsuit was settled eventually.
