SECONDARY PROGRAM
POSITION: JOB COACH
(Part-time – M/W/F)
DEFINITION: Job coach will assist students to obtain and maintain
employment. Job
coach
will
facilitate
communication
with
students
and
employers.
Job
coach
will
work
closely
with
the
transition
coordinator.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Fluent in American Sign Language
• BA Degree Preferred
• Valid MA Driver’s License
• Comfortable Using a Variety of Technology Applications
SUPERVISOR: Transition Coordinator
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist
students
with
the
job
application
and
interview
process.
• Drive
students
to
and
from
the
job
site.
• Train
students
on
the
job.
• Work
with
employers
on
evaluations
of
students.
• Create
materials
using
technology
to
assist
students
on
the
job
site.
• Meet
with
students
weekly
to
review
progress.
• Work
collaboratively
with
the
transition
coordinator
and
career
technology
chairperson
on
refining
the
job
criteria
for
students
entering
the
work
place,
and
planning
transition
activities/events.
• Assist
students
with
creating
a
portfolio
of
their
work
experiences.
