Repairing Tower Clocks is a dying vocation. Very few
individuals have the skills necessary to repair
these tower clocks, found in many American
small town Main Streets.

There was a Tower Clock repairman that was deaf.
It was the late Lee Brody, then a resident of
Fairlawn, NJ.

The late Lee Brody, who operated the Phone-TTY,
deaf devices company, was a handy man. He could
repair anything that needed to be repaired.
One of his tasks was to climb the steps to the
top of the Fairlawn, NJ Clock Tower to get the
clock repaired.

Not too many people in Fairlawn nowadays would
remember Brody, but during the fifties and sixties
he was a valued town resident.
