DeafDigest Mid-Week edition, July 1, 2013 -- owning a candy & snacks store Rajesh Seth owns a candy store, selling sweets and snacks. This store is in India, which has a bad reputation for discriminating against the deaf. But why is Rajesh so remarkable? He is deaf-blind!     -- iPad use in a meeting A deaf person could use iPad during a meeting with hearing people at work. The interpreter can use iPad from home to interpret for that deaf person. This is was an experiment that seemed to work. Maybe it will be a more common use.     -- a lipreading contest in Scotland Clydebank is a small town in Scotland. This town had a lipreading contest, inviting the public to take part. It was hosted by an organization of the deaf and hard of hearing.
