Politician beating up a deaf person Om Bharadwaj is a leader of the Congress political party in Ujjain, a city in India of some 515,000 people. Because of a personal dispute, Bharadwaj and three other people physically attacked a young deaf man. Police arrived and arrested Bharadwaj. He has retained an attorney and is trying to have the police release him with no charges. The beaten deaf man is undergoing medical treatments.   -- sad news for a restaurant Not too long time ago, people were thrilled about a new restaurant in Toronto - SIGNS that has hired an all-deaf staff. Possibly because of intense competition among restaurants in Toronto, this restaurant will close. Last day is November 13, 2016.
