-- two-minute warning impossible for deaf
A deaf person was warned of the two minute limit
before he was going to give an interpreted-speech
at a big event in Toronto. He explained that the
two-minute limit was impossible. The audience
shouted down the event hosts, allowing the
deaf speaker to break the rule. A picture

-- panic is hearing person's worst enemy
A hearing person says something to you, unaware
that you are deaf. You quickly explain to him of
your deafness. Some will quickly catch it and then
make communication adjustments. Some will just
go into a panic attack, not knowing what to do.
For some hearing people, you repeat your deafness
explanation 4 or 5 times before he will catch it.
Could this be the reason for police officers
panicking and not knowing what to do, forgetting
the workshop lessons on how to deal with the deaf?
-- must be hearing to accept a big discount deal
A deaf person has a text phone account with a big
telco. He used a hearing person's voice number as
his voice contact number. This hearing contact person
received a marketing telephone call offering a
huge discount if the text phone account is upgraded.
The deaf person wanted it but the marketing
representative refused to allow it because the
wrong person was speaking for a deaf person.
It is happening right now in Malaysia and both the
deaf person and the contact person are angry
about it.
