A big event for inventors of Asia is the
mBillionth Award South Asia. Inventors of
new devices compete to win honors at that
big event. It takes place for inventors
from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India,
Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
Out of hundreds of entries in different
categories, one of the winners is the
Sign Language Interpreter. It is a 3D device
that converts text to sign language in
animation. Does it work with ASL?
Don't know yet.
-- hurry up to get White House tours
Leah Katz-Hernandez, who is deaf, is the
White House West Wing receptionist - or
in other words, the ROTUS (receptionist
of the United States). It has made it
known that deaf people, wanting White
House tours, can try to contact her.
But if you wish to contact her, you'd
better hurry up! Presidential election
is coming up and no matter who is the
new president (Clinton or Trump) there
is no knowing if current White House
staffers will continue with their positions
or to be let go.
