-- a problem with Judge Judy TV programs
Judge Judy is one of the world's most popular TV
programs. And there is a problem. The interpreter
at the bottom corner of the screen is being darkened,
making it harder to catch the signs? It is not
happening in USA, but in Great Britain. In the
past the signs were easy to follow. Why the
change? Good question. Fortunately, the closed
captions are as clear as ever.
-- a past Criminal Minds deaf episode
Yesterday, an old Criminal Minds TV episode was
shown - of a deaf criminal bothered by the buzzing
in his CI. This buzzing drove him mad and caused
him to commit some crimes. The signing of the
criminal and of the FBI agent/interpreter were
bad. The buzzing? In real life, it can happen if
the CI person was near military installations.
But if he turned off the CI or if he stayed
out of the military bases, then buzzings would
not have happened. Stuff that makes the TV
episode look foolish.
-- the Lyft and the deaf driver's earnings
Today's newspaper story said that a deaf Lyft driver
in San Francisco could earn about $1,000 per week.
This means approximately $52,000 per year. Great
pay or lousy pay? Hard to say. Just all depends
on many things.
