-- rare cause of death
DeafDigest editor was looking at a list of
deaths among past Gallaudetians. One acquaintance
passed away, cause of death listed as:
CI infection
Googling up the FDA web site, the impression is that
deaths by CI infection is somewhat rare.
-- an amazing tennis player
Michael-Angelo Gomes is a young deaf-blind British man.
He has just learned how to play tennis at a club
in Walthamstow. When he wanted to take up this
sport, his support service provider told him it
was impossible. Even though he has just enough
vision to see where the ball was going, the task
would be overwhelming. Yet, he surprised everyone
by becoming a good player!
