An organization serving the deaf in Australia is
saying that Cochlear Corporation uses animals
to test its new CI models. What did Cochlar
Corporation have to say about it? Just one
word - silence! The corporation spokesperson
is not saying anything about this alleged
animal cruelty.
-- 400 is the average in Massachusetts
The Massachusetts Commission for the Deaf and
Hard of Hearing is working with the state
to provide interpreters for the deaf that
are called for jury duty. According to
Heidi Reed, the deaf agency commissioner,
appromximately 400 deaf people have been
called each year for jury duty only to
be excused. Not any more in the near
future.
