DeafDigest Mid-Week edition, February 3, 2016 -- interesting sign in deaf taxi driver's cab the picture is self-explanatory, so please visit it at: http://deafdigest.com/sign-in-deaf-taxi-driver-cab/   -- a very shocked deaf FedEx employee in Vermont A deaf man from Vermont works for FedEx. He was shocked upon learning that his company would not allow the deaf to use barcode devices because one must hear the beeps. He said: Wow, I been using the barcode devices for a year now Is FedEx so big that bosses on the left do not know what the bosses on the right are doing?     -- reason for delay in Marlee Matlin Super Bowl announcement There is a reason for the delay in announcing Marlee Matlin as the Super Bowl National Anthem ASL signer. Lets' look at this joke - how many electricians does it take to change a lightbulb? Well, in the case of Marlee, it took four separate organizations to make this joint announcement, hence this delay! Not easy to get two to make the announcement together, let alone four of them. Anyway, for Marlee, it will be her third such honor - past honors were at the XXVII, XLI Super Bowls. Congrats, Marlee!   Latest deaf jobs: http://deafdigest.com/category/jobs/ or click on "jobs" past Mid-Week & morning editions: http://deafdigest.com/category/mid-week-news/ 01/31/16 Blue and Gold editions at: http://deafdigest.com/newsletters/
