-- a "quiet" Deaf National Rally at a state capitol
What does a rally mean? It means "a mass meeting
of people showing support on rights and needs of
the deaf" - yet, after looking at the agenda of
one state deaf rally today, it is more like a
polite tea party? It certainly is not same as
angry "Gallaudet Deaf President Now" protest.

-- well known entertainer is a big jerk
Some entertainers are jerks. One of them
is Rapper 50 Cent. He was at the Cincinnati
/Northern Kentucky International and
saw a young janitor pulling on a cart of
cleaning supplies. 50 Cent mocked him,
thinking he was a druggie. The janitor did
not respond. Angry 50 Cent then took a
picture of the janitor and posted it on the
Instagram. The janitor's family, very
angry about it, threatened to 50 Cent
for one million dollars. 50 Cent did
not know the janitor was deaf and was also
autistic! 50 Cent immediately apologized
and the lawsuit threat was dropped.
The picture, by the way, was taken down.
-- that many is very sad
There was a newspaper story about deaf problems
at the Miami-Dade Corrections (Miami, Florida
metro area). It said that there are about
50 deaf people arrested every year and sent
to these Miami-Dade prisons. That is too
many and that is very sad.
