-- a deaf face
Deaf Italian photographer Giacomo Albertini took pictures of
different faces. It is being shown at a photograph exhibition
in Reggio Emilia. The challenge is for the audience to
guess which picture has this Deaf Face. Results will
be posted on a Facebook page. Just keep in mind that deafness
is often invisible. A picture is at:

-- a dumb deaf criminal
We often laugh (or cry) at the ways dumb hearing criminals
commit crimes and get arrested. Here is one about a dumb
deaf criminal. He operated his own car washing business
in Lagos, Nigeria. He liked one car so much that he was
washing for one customer and just decided to take it for
himself by simply driving away. He was caught and arrested,
and this dumb crime was written up in Nigerian newspapers.
Why would he risk arrest and losing his car washing
business?
-- Prince Philip's famous insults
Prince Philip, because of his age, is stepping down
from his official British royal duties. He has been
notorious for his insulting comments. He insulted
a group of deaf students not able to understand the
music, as played by a band. Was this his only
deaf-related insult or did he make more deafness
insults that were overlooked by newspaper reporters?
It didn't matter to him that his mother was deaf!
