-- a judge scolds a cop for stupidly arresting the deaf
DeafDigest mentioned a while ago that a cop arrested two
deaf British men for using sign language. The cops thought
they were using gangster signs that mocked the police
officers. This case came to trial and the judge immediately
threw out the case - and scolded the cop for being so
stupid!
-- Undercover Boss working with a deaf employee
Undercover Boss is a popular TV program. It seems to be the
first time that an Undercover Boss faced a deaf employee.
The boss of the Alfred Angelo chain (wedding dresses for
new brides) worked with a deaf woman on a recent show.
The reviews said the Boss was inspired after working with
that deaf employee. If you missed it, maybe you can catch
it on one of these frequent Undercover Boss re-runs.
-- a possible invention in photography by a deaf man
Clint O'Connor, Austin, TX, is deaf. He has a strong
interest in photography and he thinks his new camera
invention is better than Instagram. He calls his
invention - the pinhole photography. It has something
to do with 3-D inside the new camera. He is now seeking
funds from investors.
