-- A deaf cyclist in a future Tour de France race?
Tom Smith, a deaf British cyclist, is a member of the
hearing LUMET-VDBG Steenhouwerij Cycling Team team
in Belgium. And he has represented Great Britain
in the hearing European Championships. He is currently
in training at home in England and waiting for warm
weather to come back so he could train with his
professional teammates. Don't be surprised if he
could race in the future Tour de France as part of
the Belgian racing team!

Signing to a deaf passenger while driving is dangerous
for us? Well, the Utah Association of the Deaf is
sponsoring a workshop next week. The topic is "Distracted
Driving Presentation" and if a deaf organization is
hosting this such a workshop, then it may be a serious
Deaf Issue while Deaf Driving?

Haben Girma is a law student at Harvard Law School. She is
more special than any other of her classmates. Why? She
is deaf-blind. It did not stop her from such activities -
dancing, skiing, traveling, guest lecturing and kayaking.
Is she the only deaf-blind person in the field of law?
No. There are approximately 10 deaf-blind people with
law degrees.
