There is a scandal with the Deaflympics, and for
some reason the Deaflympics officers are trying
to keep quiet about it. The Russian Deaf Sports
Confederation has been accused of faking the
deafness of some of their athletes. It
gets more serious because the president of
Deaflympics is Valery Nikititch Rukhledev,
and he is a Russian!
-- the most embarrassing deaf story of 2014
A web posting listed 20 most embarrassing stories.
One such story was about a deaf couple losing
their baggage by the American Airlines. The
baggage was found and delivered to their home in
Houston. Attached to the baggage was the note
"deaf and dumb"
-- a dumb judge in Nevada
this is a true story. A deaf man was selected
for jury duty. He told the judge he was deaf.
The judge then gave him a headset!
