-- what is Gallaudet
What is Gallaudet? Is it Gallaudet University? Or is it
Gallaudet School for the Deaf? Pat Roberts is a long time
senator, since 1997, and before that, a Congressman, first
elected in 1980. Altogether, he has served a total of
35 years on the Hill. Anyway in a recent interview with
a reporter, he told a story that mentioned Gallaudet
School for the Deaf! He is from Kansas and did he
confuse Gallaudet with Kansas School for the Deaf?
Maybe he forgot, but Gallaudet was a front page newspaper
story twice for its two Presidential protests and that
Congress gives money to Gallaudet every year.
-- Radio Shack thanks the deaf very much
Radio Shack was the king years ago. Not any more.
There are fewer Radio Shack stores nowadays as
compared to the past. But for now, Radio Shack
continues to survive. Radio Shack says one of its
best selling items is hearing aid batteries! This
is the reason why Radio Shack thanks the deaf.
-- deaf not allowed to take medical school exams
We have quite a few deaf physicians and dentists.
And we have an organization of deaf medical
professionals:
http://deafdigest.com/association-of-deaf-medical-professionals/
Anyway, one state will not allow the deaf to take these
exams for admission into medical schools. The exam
instructons said:
deaf candidates are not allowed admission in these courses.
The state is Uttarakhand, which is in India, not in USA.
