DeafDigest Mid-Week edition, April 7, 2016 -- deaf model with a luxury clothing line Offers never stop coming for Nyle DiMarco, whose original goal in life was to become a math teacher at a school for the deaf. He has become a model with the 2(X)IST, which is a luxury clothing line - swimwear, socks, underclothing, watches, etc. See his latest modeling pose at: http://deafdigest.com/deaf-model-with-luxury-line/   -- a proposed new ten dollar bill the US Treasury is looking for a woman to be the face of a new ten dollar bill. The state of Alabama is pushing for - Helen Keller to be the face of that new bill. Will US treasury listen? Hope so!   -- Washington Metro "thanks" Gallaudet The stats compiled by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (subways), showed a big jump in ridership at the NoMa-Gallaudet station, the highest such increase in the metro area. Possibly because of Gallaudet in the area and because of high number of deaf residents living in the area. There are also new buildings, and very possibly a good number of deaf people are employed.   Latest deaf jobs: http://deafdigest.com/category/jobs/     Barry's collections of past articles (with today's update) -- another deaf teacher of future doctors http://deafdigest.com/collections/barrys-collections/   04/03/16 Blue and Gold editions at: http://deafdigest.com/newsletters/
