-- a bad deaf experience in Hungary
Europe is overwhelmed with refugees from Syria. In Hungary,
a hearing Syrian mother of a deaf child asked the Hungarian
police officer if she could recharge her son's hearing aid
battery. The police officer said no. She had to wait until
the family moved on to Munich where the German officials
allowed her to charge the battery!
-- an employment comment by a NTID student
In a newspaper story today, NTID student Justin Cunningham
was quoted as saying:
Rochester is known for a large deaf community, but still many
deaf are still without a job or career. It is not a struggle
just for me, but for many.
Hope Justin will be able to find employment eventually.
