-- a cop in Ohio understood the weapon gesture
A deaf man came to a cop that was patrolling the
Youngstown, Ohio downtown and used a gesture
to indicate a gun. The cop caught the gesture
and followed the deaf man to a nearby store
where a robbery was in progress. The robbers
were arrested. It took place in the 1950's.
If this same gesture was used nowadays, would
the panicky police officers draw their
weapons on the innocent deaf man who was trying
to say something?

The critics have said it was a bad movie
with a bad plot.
