Smart911 is better than the regular 911 feature and promises quicker assistance. She has promised to learn ASL to communicate with him. Who is she? Peta is from New Zealand and is a professional dancer. The big question - will Peta remember her ASL once the Dancing With the Stars is over?   -- major league baseball pushes for diversity Major League Baseball is pushing for diversity. To diverse is to include the deaf. We have had deaf major league baseball players. Now what about deaf executives in major league baseball? There was one - Ben Wade, director of scouting for Los Angeles Dodgers between the sixties and eighties. While Wade was deaf and avoided mingling with teammates as a major league pitcher, this fact was not publicly known!
