A while ago a Canadian deaf woman was denied interpreter for her classes at University of California (Berkeley). And now this - a deaf Japanese woman, having problems with the airport personnel in Hawaii, wanted an interpreter. Her request was denied. Are Americans selfish about not lending interpreters for foreign deaf?   -- worried deaf organizations tell FCC Ajit Pai, the FCC boss, does not really reach out to the Deaf Community. As a result, the deaf organizations are worried that he would not encourage captions on newer and better TV and video high tech standards.
