DeafDigest Mid-Week edition, May 13, 2015 morning   -- bad interpreters sending a deaf person to jail A deaf man was accused of murder in Pakistan. He was given interpreters. Unfortunately the interpreters did not accurately tell the court what the deaf man said. As a result, he was convicted of murder, something he said he never did. The Ministry of Justice is not too happy about it, since the court had to re-open the case.   -- first deaf female filmmaker? A newspaper in Alabama said that a deaf woman is the very first deaf woman to direct a film. True? No. We have some deaf female filmmakers. The newspaper reporter, doing the interviewing with an interpreter, did not do is homework.
