-- lucky deaf poker player
A deaf man was playing poker with hearing players
at a casino. He was hot with his cards and
won big money. He left the table with his
winnings. There was an announcement inviting
him to spin the Big Wheel, which would give
him $400 for this task. He didn't know about
it and was going to leave the casino. One
of the players at the table ran grabbed
him and told him to go to the Big Wheel!
If no one told him, he would not be
getting that extra money! A picture

-- deaf passengers not a problem for most airlines
The airline industry did a survey regarding
special airline assistance services for
senior citizens, the deaf and the disabled.
It was discovered that deaf passengers have
not been a problem. The problem is with hearing
people who are either disabled or senior
citizens! This makes Deaf People look good
with the airline people.
-- long time deaf actor fakes being hearing
Tim Barlow is a well known British character
actor, with many years of acting in movies,
plays and TV. He was deaf, but but with
"hearing" speech, so that no one knew
of his hearing loss. How did he succeed
in faking? Lip-reading; reading body
language of other actors, playing
games with other actors, producers and
directors, etc. It all stopped when he
got his CI few years ago!
