-- Two faced Taco Bell
If one googles past Taco Bell newspaper stories, one will
find Taco Bell people being friendly to the deaf; some use
ASL; some use paging devices to communicate with deaf
patrons. Yet - there is a lawsuit filed by a deaf woman
in New Jersey who was refused drive-in service at two
different Taco Bell locations. Do see the picture at:

-- many deaf people cannot use 911 text
A newspaper story said:
Over 50 million deaf citizens can't use their smartphone to call 911
Why?
Many 911 centers use TTY machines that are so old fashioned and
do not work with new technology (smartphones). So, the changeover
is slow and costs a lot of tax money. Very worrisome!
-- learning a sign language for nothing
A family created their own sign language to communicate with
a young deaf family member. When the young deaf child
enrolled at a deaf school (and only came home on weekends),
he learned ASL. When he came home, he no longer used FSL
(Family Sign Language) because ASL was better. All of a
sudden family members could notcommunicate with him.
Is it funny or not funny?
