-- possible lawsuit; both sides give different stories
Does McDonalds kiosks function as a Big Dumb Robot?
A deaf man drove up to the McDonald's kiosk, honking
on his horn, wanting to inform the inside people of
his deafness. Instead the manager kicked him out.
The manager said deaf man was "abusive" - the
deaf man said the manager was discriminatory.
A lawsuit is coming up! A picture is at:

-- an important deaf institution closes
National Deaf Academy, Mt Dora, Florida was started
about 20 years ago by a husband and wife team that both
worked with the deaf. It served young deaf
individuals that needed professional counseling
that traditional mental health facilities couldn't
serve. It became the nation's only such facility
for the deaf, The husband and wife team sold
the academy to Corporate America. But because
of an increasing number of lawsuits against the
academy, an announcement was made to close it up
for good. This is not good news.
-- Netflix possible bad news to the deaf
Good news about Neflix few months ago with the
deaf. Their videos are captioned, though technical
glitches still remain. Now the bad news, those
wanting to "pirate" Neflix on non-Netflix
servers may find "free" access cut off. Bad
news for deaf that relied on pirated Netflix
services to get their captioned movies.
