It was a shock when a group of New York deaf filed
lawsuit against Starbucks for refusing to serve them.
Truth? Did deaf people stay in Starbucks all day
and not order much coffee? Was there communication
problem while ordering Starbucks drinks? We will
find out the truth about the lawsuit.
-- non-fluent ASL signers are scared
Several deaf friends, some of them non-fluent ASL
signers, are scared. If there are no more internet
relay providers, they will be forced to use video relay
services. When that happens there may be language barrier
struggles between confused interpreters and non-fluent
ASL signers!
-- A deaf man in Ripley's Believe It or Not!
We have had some deaf people in the past making it in the
Ripley's Believe It or Not! The latest is deaf rocker
Sean Forbes, saying he has been deaf all his life but is
a professional musican. First time in history? No, there
was Ripley's Believe It or Not many years ago about
a deaf man working in a factory making musical instruments!
