DeafDigest Mid-Week edition, June 15, 2016 -- New Jersey taxi company hangs up 3 times on snowy night A deaf woman had a relay service ask the Clifton Taxi and Limousine Inc to pick her up. She normally takes the bus but the night was snowing and the bus did not arrive. The taxi company hung up on her three times; the final hang up was with this comment - Please stop calling. As a result the state of New Jersey has filed a lawsuit on basis of discrimination. Would that qualify them as a deaf-owned business? So many questions!   -- Facebook captions Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg had an interview; one of the questions he responded was that Facebook could read postings and then convert these to captions. DeafDigest has a question - what would be the quality of these captions? Perfect captions or sloppy captions?     Latest deaf jobs: http://deafdigest.com/category/jobs/ Barry's collections of past articles (with today's update) -- TV death of deaf characters played by deaf http://deafdigest.com/collections/barrys-collections/ 06/12/16 Blue and Gold editions at: http://deafdigest.com/newsletters/
