A lipreader said watching movies without captions is
impossible because of various reasons, such as
camera angle, voiceovers, sound effects and
actors' accents. And even worse, cannot lipread
cartoon characters!
-- tricks with Netflix captions
A deaf person, who watches Netflix captions all the
time, says there are tricks. One can change captions
to make it easier on the eyes or to change to a
preferred styling of captions. How? Go to
Netflix account settings and select "Subtitle
Appearance" and play around with colors and
fonts until you are satisfied
