-- a different kind of deaf invention
We have seen many different sign to text and/or
text to sign inventions. The new one is a bit
different. It converts gestures to text. See

-- accused of faking deafness
There is ADA discrimination lawsuit going on in
Newark, NJ. Chinedu Ibrahim Ali says he is deaf
and said he was denied interpreters to challenge
parking tickets. As a result, he has filed
ADA discrimination lawsuit. At the first hearing,
a municipal judge said he was not deaf and therefore
not entilted to an interpreter. At the second
hearing, the court officer said the same thing!
To fake deafness and to request an interpreter?
Something strange is going on.
-- a Deaf Valentine Day disaster
A deaf man at a Massachusetts hotel with
his wife, went for a Valentine Day Celebration
walk. They walked through the woods, looking at
the night sky. A tree twig, that he didn't see,
knocked his hearing aid to the ground, buried
under the snow. He couldn't find it. He alerted
the hotel staff; several staffers went out and
looked for the hearing aid and couldn't find it.
When the snow melted several days later, one
of the hotel staffers found it!
