-- more than 150 pieces of stuff in DeafHouse
DeafHouse or DeafSpace? What is the difference?
Same thing! Anyway, people that work on
DeafHouse/DeafSpace just said there are more
than 150 different pieces of stuff. Examples
are Deaf Mirrors, Deaf Walls, Deaf Staircases,
Deaf Lights, etc and etc. Amazing and
interesting! A picture is at:

-- if deaf can't, hearing also can't
University of California has courses on
web for students that want to take on-line
classes. It is not deaf-friendly. As a
result, Department of Justice told the
university that if the web continues
to be anti-deaf, it must be shut down!
The university is not happy about it.
-- Hortons loves deaf
Tim Hortons is a popular coffee/donut chain in
Canada (same as Dunkin Donuts in USA). Many
Canadians grab Hortons coffee and Hortons
donuts on way to work. It is probably the
most deaf-friendly place to work in Canada -
for a big reason. Mark Wafer, who is deaf,
owns seven Tim Hortons outlets in Canada.
Does he hire the deaf? Over 17 percent
of his employees in these 7 chain outlets
are either deaf or disabled. Customers that
require coffee and donuts don't care if they
are deaf as long as the coffee is good and
donuts are also good!
