A deaf person who likes to travel said that McDonalds
overseas, especially in the Asian nations are deaf
friendly. There are kiosks that deaf customers could
press on icons for food they want to order. Not every
McDonalds in USA has that feature - and there are always
drive-in hassles!
-- filmmaker lectures about captions
At a recent workshop for independent filmmakers
(hearing), a featured speaker, himself a filmmaker,
has explained the importance of captioning their
own short films, no matter how difficult the task is.
-- door knock becomes text vibration
An inventor came up with something - a doorbell
device that converts door knocking to text message
(saying that someone is at the door). This is
new to DeafDigest editor.
